Life Lately

Life lately has been good. Busy, but good! 🙂

Currently, I’m reading The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis and it is definitely going to be a book that I read OVER and OVER again. Some of the concepts are simple, and yet, I haven’t quite been able to wrap my brain around them. I definitely want to post about one of the specific ones here soon!

Little Ayealyn Ewing is growing and growing and I am hoping that she will be here in about 4 weeks! 🙂 When she kicks me, or moves inside of me, I feel this strong longing to hold her and to see her. I can’t wait to kiss her little soft head and feel her hands as they just move around in the air! I love my baby girl already!

She also was very blessed this weekend from our friends and family! We had a baby shower and so many people brought thoughtful and beautiful gifts! I’m working on putting those gifts away and continuing to get ready for the baby.

I also forgot my Thankful Thursdays post last week, even though I already had a partial list drafted!!!! Oh well, I’ll publish that partial list on Tuesday (tomorrow) and then another one on Thursday! I have a LOT to be thankful for!

Anyways, other thoughts that I have had include how to be successful. And as I think of ways to be successful I notice that when I decided cloth diapering was an option for me/our family, I had decided because of the focus I had on personal finance. Lately, I subscribed to several personal finance blogs and have been reading them in Google Reader. They have jogged my focus when it comes to the cloth diapering. I had started looking at all the bells and whistles of cloth and had lost the frugal aspect of diapering. So, I think that one of my biggest things that I need to succeed is to surround myself with the resources, especially media, that support my goals!! That is probably true for a lot of people too!

Well, other than that, I hope to be posting more soon!

About Melanie

My Being Purpose Statement: As a part of Christ's Bride and as one of His precious treasures whom He redeemed with His precious blood, I purpose in my heart to love and adore Him with all of my heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). I want to be beautiful in the sight of my Saviour, Jesus Christ. I will therefore pursue holiness (1 Peter 1:16) that I might worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness (1 Chronicles 16:29, Psalms 96:9) and go and proclaim His love, sacrifice and salvation to others who have not heard that I may have the beautiful feet of them that bring glad tidings of good things (Isaiah 52:7, Romans 10:15). My Life Purpose Statement: I desire to serve my Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ throughout my entire life by ministering to girls and women. I pray that I will be able to bring many girls and women to the Cross of Christ that they may find salvation from a loving and gracious Savior. It is my heart’s desire to encourage girls and women who know the Savior to deepen their relationship with Him and to fall more and more in love with Him. I also want to serve women by assisting them in their everyday lives whether I am rolling up my sleeves to work alongside them or am connecting them with people, ministries, and or resources that will be helpful and beneficial to them. By God’s grace and power, through His Spirit, and for His glory will I endeavor to fulfill this purpose
